Due: May 15th, 2012

Content:

1)      Grammar:

At right side of screen in ‘Grammar Pills’ section: (all online exercises). You do not need to send the answers to these as they do not appear on the answer sheet. However, the exercises are required and doing them will help you prepare for the final exam.

a) Relative Clauses -  click ‘here’ to do Relative Clause Test
b) Zero conditional - 4 exercises with explanations
c) First conditional - 4 exercises with explanations

2)      Vocabulary – Hospitals

At right of screen:

Click on ‘here’. At bottom of list of words, click on ‘ejercicios’. There are 10 sentences.

Listen and repeat words in list as many times as necessary until you feel confident with their pronunciation and meaning.

*On the answer sheet, write definitions for each of the correct answers (1-10) using relative clauses (with ‘who’, ‘which’, or ‘that’) following the example given.

3)      Case History

At right of screen in Activities section:

*Read the text and fill in the blanks using the words given at the top. Fill in the 27 missing words or expressions in the answer sheet provided.

4) Study for the final exam, including the grammar and vocabulary we have learned in class from the book and the handouts given. There is a lot of vocabulary in this course and it will represent a big part of the final exam, so it’s a good idea to take time as you go along to review previously learned vocabulary. This will also help you express yourself better for the rest of the course, as it will be easier to find the words you need. Note down any words whose pronunciation you are not sure of and ask the teacher in class how they are pronounced.
